2DayFM, the Southern Cross Austero radio channel that conducted and aired the prank call that is speculated to have contributed to a nurses' suicide last Friday, has cancelled its staff Christmas party.

The party, which was to feature a $13,000 bar tab at a Sydney nightclub for up to 250 staff, will not be taking place on Thursday.

An Austereo spokesperson told told News.com.au it was "no time for celebration" at the radio station.
