Australian stocks climb: Afternoon market insights

The Australian sharemarket rose today, despite newly-released RBA minutes showing the central bank does not consider more rate cuts likely.

At 2pm, the ASX200 added 0.59% to 4390.2, while the broader All Ordinaries index gained 0.61% to 4417.0.

The Australian dollar rose today, buying $US1.04665.
