MBA-employers tell QS where they like to hire from, and it isn’t here

06 December 2012 Myriam Robin

While publications such as The Economist and The Financial Times continue to rank Australian MBA schools highly, MBA employers aren’t so keen, according to a global survey of where international recruiters like to hire from.

QS, which publishes the annual Top MBA survey, found there was a clear preference for graduates from a “leading cluster” of 39 business schools. Over half (22) of these were in North America, 14 were in Europe, while just three (Singapore’s INSEAD and NUS Business School, and India’s IIM Ahmedabad) were in Asia.

Recession notwithstanding, graduates from the top European schools earned more than their North American counterparts, with average graduate salaries of $US109,300 compared to $101,100.
